Pear Suite’s History

Pear Suite started in 2021, providing CHW support during the COVID-19 pandemic, helping thousands of families access health and social services in a culturally-sensitive, tech-enabled while solving common challenges faced by community-based nonprofits and social services agencies, and healthcare organizations: disconnected systems, inconsistent funding, and difficult collaboration among local organizations and systems.

Since then, we’ve expanded our CHW network and now manage a hub of hundreds of CHWs nationwide.

Pear Suite has partnered with more than 100 community-based organizations, serving more than 50,000 community members, through its care navigation platform.

Envisioning Better Community Care

Colby Takeda, MPH, MBA, leads the mission and vision of Pear Suite. He is a former executive of a senior living facility, has led policy and partnerships for the Blue Zones Project by Sharecare and is a registered Community Health Worker. Colby is passionate about education and enabling health providers with systems and resources that make simple tasks easier and improve community health outcomes. He currently sits on the National Association of Community Health Workers (NACHW) board.

Nick Lockett leads the engineering and data science team at Pear Suite. He has worked on engineering teams at Microsoft and several startups, where he led platform development. Nick has deep experience building dynamic technical solutions at scale, transforming big data into insights, and integrating artificial intelligence and machine learning to exponentially improve systems.
